Gable.

Gable end.
The gable shaped canopy over a door or window or a wall topped with a gable. |
Gazumping.
The person selling the property accepts an offer from a potential buyer, and then accepts a new higher offer from another buyer before exchange of contracts. |
Gazundering.
This is when the person selling the property accepts an offer, and then the buyer puts in a new, lower offer just before exchange of contracts. |
Grazing Land
Grazing land is farmland used for grazing animals. Different animals have different requirements. To produce good milk cows need lush pasture whilst horses need a loamy soil content to prevent water-logging as an effect of trampling from iron shoes. |
Green Belt Land.
Green Belt land is protected both by normal planning controls and an additional presumption against 'inappropriate development' within its boundaries. |
Greenfield Land
A term used to describe a piece of undeveloped land, either currently used for agriculture or just left to nature. |
Ground rent.
An annual fee that a leaseholder has to pay the freeholder. |
Guarantor.
Someone who agrees to guarantee your loan and is fully liable for its repayment if you default. |
